Colombia Circa 500 to 1000 A.D.

A coca preparation tool carved from red-brown and tan-gray brecciated stone consisting of a  long handle and a drilled round grinding bowl at one end, and drilled perforated eyes or suspension holes.   The purpose for this tool is for grinding of lime to mix with coca leaves so the narcotic can enter the bloodstream.     Intact, excellent condition.

Size: 5-3/8 inch L. x 1-3/8 inch W.
