Peru, South Coast, Proto-Nazca, circa 100 B.C. to 200 A.D

Border section from a full mantle composed of nineteen standing figures having long string hairdos, woven in camelid fibers with an alpaca cross-knit fringe in ochre, green, red, blue, and brown, with dark brown fiber hair streaming downward as the overall fringe.


Size: 4-3/4 inches W. x 16-1/2 inches L.
Professionally sewn to a cloth covered wooden stretcher. Excellent condition.
