Circa 1st to 3rd Century century AD

Cast cylindrical handle for a ritual vessel. The handle would have been soldered to the vessel which is why it is now separated from that section. The handle is fluted and terminated in a rams head.

Size: 5-1/2 inches Length + custom mount.

Condition: Good, deep green patina and some surface encrustations.

Provenance: Collection Monsignore DeCiccio, Naples Italy 1952/1952; acquired by decedents Mark and Lottie S.; Hartsdale, NY.
